Meet The Tutor Behind Teach Me Cafe

Alice Stamps has been around teaching all her life. She grew up in a family that stood on the foundation that education was the key to a better life. Her parents were administrators who retired with over 40 years in the educational system. Many of her days were spent in the schoolhouse or at home playing teacher. Teach Me Café is exciting because it begins a new chapter in her life. 2020 begins her 19th year of teaching. Her first years of teaching were at Villa Rica Primary, Villa Rica, Georgia and Hazel Green Elementary School located in North Alabama teaching first and second grade. In 2006 she returned to Georgia and taught second grade at Burnett Elementary School until 2012. 2012 began an exciting overseas adventure. She was blessed with an opportunity to teach first grade at Collegiate American School in the UAE, Dubai. After three years she returned home to Georgia and began teaching K-5th ESOL at Pleasantdale Elementary School. As the daughter of educators and an educator, Alice believes in high expectations, open dialogue, and opportunities for students to reflect and showcase their work.
